Announcements

Beginnnig Tuesday, April 29th, all remaining practices will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church across the street from Loyola College Prep on Jordan Street. We will be practicing in the gym which is locatated off the back parking lot behind the church.  Please contact Jim or Misty for exact days and times.  Tuesdays practice will be from 6:30 to 8:30.

CLUB BUSINESS

Many thanks go out to Jim Burton for donating his time, money and cooking skills in hosting our inaugural grilled chicken dinner fund raiser.  Everybody had a blast and it was a huge success.

IN THE WORKS

NWLA Club Volleyball is in the planning stages of the following events.  Please continue to visit the website for updates:

NWLA Club Volleyball is planning to host a summer skills camp for girls 8-14.  If you know any girls that may be interested please refer them to Misty, Junior or Jim; or, they may call 318/470-4836.

The club is in the planning stages of hosting a 3 x 3 Beach Volleyball Tournament and skills clinic for girls, ages 14 to 18.  Club Members are encouraged to invite new players to be their teammates in the tournament.  We may also include an adult and co-ed division!

If you know of any adults that would be interested in starting an adult volleyball league please let us know.

GREAT NEWS -- NWLA Club Volleyall is a new USVA Club for high school age girls in Northwest Louisiana

This past weekend the Flying Aces traveled to the heart of Acadiana, Lafayette, Louisiana to play in the Acadiana Challenge for a 1 day tournament.  The 'Aces were able to only bring 6 players to compete in the 17 year old division but showed a lot of guts, spirit and growth.  Below is a list of our statistical leaders for the weekend:

The Flying Aces have one tournament left on their 2007-2008 schedule, traveling to Houston, TX May 10th to play in the WSC Classic.  Hope to see you there!
